What are the best e-scooters you could ride that manage to carry a load of around 300lbs without issues?
Well, according to our studies, the top 5 electric scooters that can hold 300 lbs are:
- The Qiewa Qpower 3200W (660 lbs capacity)
- The Nanrobot RS7 3200 (400 lbs capacity)
- The Qiewa Q1Hummer (550 lbs capacity)
- The Dualtron Ultra (330 lbs capacity)
- The Swagger 5 City Commuter (320 lbs capacity)
1. The Qiewa Qpower
Check it out on Amazon here.
The best boy on the e-scooter market for ”heavy-duty” usage. With a capacity of max 660 lbs (or 300 kg), this bad boy holds the crown in the industry due to its generous specifications.
One of the defining features of e-scooters that can hold a weight of 300+ lbs is the number of motors. Those things, due to requirements usually come with two of them. And we are not talking of moderately powered motors.

The Qpower sports two 1600 watt motors for a total of 3200 watts! Just so that you can compare it to the average scooters, the most commonly used power is that of about 400 to 850 watts. Now that is some juice! And said juice allows it to reach distances of 50 miles or 80 km per charge of 15 hours and battery power of 18650mAh.
And yes, it can easily manage to get up inclined surfaces. However, do not expect top speeds while doing it. The heavier the rides, the slower the scooter will be while escalating steep hills.
One important thing when rating the power of the motor is the acceleration. The more watts it has, the better it accelerates. This bad buy can achieve speeds of about 55 miles/h or 90km/h. However, the speed is determined by the weight of the rider. All in all, it is very fast, so be careful.
Also, regarding speeds, be careful how fast you brake at high speeds. It has very powerful, double hydraulic brakes. However, you must not fear them entirely. The scooter allows you to toggle the power between the 1 or 2 motors. Thus, it allows for a greater degree of control.
The tires are also solid, as they are 11” thick off-road tires. Yes, they allow you to ride it off-road.
As for water resistance, it is rated at IP54, so it is very solid. It is considered to be waterproof, but you should not use more than short water jets on it. For more info regarding the IP ratings, check
And just to spice it, for the price, you get an anti-theft alarm with remote control. For such an expensive beast, you gonna protect it well.
Which lead us to the disadvantages:
First of all, its price. On its parent site, you can find it at 2.099$, while on Amazon it can go up to 2500$!
Furthermore, its two motors, in addition to its rating as a heavy-duty model, solid materials and quality of build, give it a major disadvantage. It is incredibly heavy, as compared with other similar size e-scooters. This bad boy comes at around 82 lbs or 37 kg.

2. The NanrobotRS7
Check it out on Amazon here.
A close call, almost in third place because of the Q1Hummer (see below), but it narrowly beats it, due to its sheer power. See it as a slight downgrade to the Qpower line. Despite having a mere 400 lbs or 200 kg capacity, when compared to the next contender, it is here because of its power.
First of all, if sports 2X 1600W independent motors, just like the Qpower. So, like our first pick, it has the advantage of being a monster of a ride. Just like the Qpower, it can reach a max speed of 55 miles/h or 90 km/h.
The speed while climbing is also dependent on the battery charge and the angle of inclination. With its power, it can climb angles of up to 65°. However, prolonged usage on steep inclines will slowly weaken it, if the load is too heavy.
It is also equipped with a very powerful, 60v 31.2AH lithium battery, with the advantage of needing only 6-10 hours of charging. Due to its sheer power and capacity, it can reach distances of 50-55 miles or up to 100km, depending on the steepness and total weight.
One area where it dominates any contenders is the power of the batteries. While the Qpower has a battery power of 18650mAh, the NanrobotRS7 has a power of 31200mAh! Which is why it can hold better on steep inclines and why it needs a considerably shorter charge time. However, battery power is not all that a scooter needs.
Disadvantages
When it comes to pricing, just like the Qpower, it is very expensive. Even more so, at a price tag that exceeds 3000$ on nanrobot.com and AliExpress. It also has disadvantages such as not having a seat, rear lights and weighing at 40kg or 88 lbs.
All in all, expensive but incredibly good.
Check out the video below for a speed test in all speed modes: 1,2 and 3 and in the single and dual motor mode.
The Qiewa Q1Hummer
Check it out on Amazon here.
The third entry on our list is a scaled-down version of the Qpower 3200. However, do not let it scare you. Similar to its big brother, the Q1Hummer is a beast in its own right.
One of its greatest attributes is its configuration. While the NanrobotRS7 sacrificed weight capacity for battery and motor power, this one does the complete opposite. The Q1hummer, despite having a battery power of 18650 and a motor power of only 800 watts, has a carrying capacity of 550 lbs! If anything, this is a recommended scooter for the more heavy-duty people out there, seeing as speed is not everything.
The disadvantage here is that it can reach speeds of up to 40 miles/h or 64km/h, with the ability to go up on inclines of max 35°. And those are for distances of about 65 miles or 100 km. But those are disadvantages compared to other scooters on the market. Individually, this one is a real steal. And you can achieve all this on only 3.5-4 hours of charging time.
The tires are incredibly good, despite being 10” and not 11”.
Disadvantages
Just like most, if not all, heavy-duty e-scooters, it is heavy, at around 35-40 kg or 80-90 lbs. The price, despite being a reason to cringe, is more forgiving, at only 1350$ – 1400$. It is still expensive, but way more affordable than others on this list.
I personally believe this one is the least disadvantageous here. All in all, a great investment if you need one.
Here is a great video presentation and ride test:
The Dualtron Ultra
Check it out on Dualtron’s website here.
Another great pick for the big boys out there is the Dualtron Ultra. And boy, is this a fast one. With a configuration of 2x 2700 Watts motors, it adds to a total of 5400 Watts, next to its 60V 34.5Ah 2072Wh LG battery. The result of this overpowering configuration allows for speeds of more than 40miles/h or 65 km/h. This, at a range of 80 miles or 130 km per charge. Officially, it is the longest distance you can cover on an e-scooter. Even traveling uphill will not slow this bad boy down.
Another up is given by the fact that it sports both front and rear suspensions and has front and rear brakes. The motors also act independently, one for each wheel, for a smoother and more reliable experience.
Its solid 11” tires and suspension allows you to ride it off-road if need be, with an average of 50 miles or 80 km per charge. It also comes with a fingerprint lock and you really need one, if you want to keep your 3200$ ride safe.
Disadvantages
So why is it not higher on the list? Well, this is a compilation of the best ”big boy” e-scooters. And while this is more powerful than any other, it has a top weight limit of 330 lbs or 150 kg. So, it limits its user base by a great margin, depending on their weight. It is also not light, suffering from the same 37 kg or 81 lbs scooter weight just like the others.
The Swagger 5 City Commuter
Check it out on Amazon here.
The last entry on our list is probably the most accessible of them all, seeing as how the Swagger is the budget version of ”heavy-duty” e-scooters.
The first obvious advantage is that it is priced at a reasonable 300$ price-mark. This, for a scooter that can hold up to 330lbs, it is basically a steal.
Its motor, despite being a small 250 Watts electric motor, will hit the road as soon as you hit the throttle. Also, due to being incorporated into the wheel, it is very quiet. It also charges fast, in only 3-3.5 hours, is very light at 12kg or 26 lbs, has a smartphone control app and it is fold-able.
Disadvantages
However, cheapness comes with a distinct abundance of disadvantages, which include:
A speed of 18 miles/h or 30 km/h, a range of 11 miles or 17 km and only a 20° climbing angle.
All in all, do not see it as inferior to the other 4. They are incredible but are very expensive. This one is cheap, accessible and easy to maintain. It was designed to be used only for going to and from work, unlike the others that can be used for hobby-riding.
Here is a video review of this e-scooter:
Will the rider’s weight affect the range and speed?
Yes, it will. The speed and ranges reported by manufacturers are for a rider’s weight of approximately 165 lbs (or 75 kg). It also considers average weather conditions and low or no wind speed. With a rider’s weight of 300 lbs or more, these performances are reduced a bit so expect this when buying an electric scooter.
Anyway, the electric scooters presented in this article are very powerful and I’m confident that even with a 300 lbs load, they will perform excellently in any road and traffic condition.
Braking can take a few feet more than normal because of the inertia of 300 lbs. So be careful with this as well.
Conclusion
Hope this list will help you with what you need. Till next time, ride safely!
